Day 2:  PHUKET – LOCH PALM GOLF CLUB (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning round of golf at Loch Palm Golf course.

Pick up time: 8am.
Tee off time: 9am.

People call it “the most relaxing golf course in Phuket”. Located in Kathu District just 7km from Phuket town and Patong Beach, about 15 minutes from Patong. Nestling below a panoramic range of peaks, and sandwiched between the Katu Waterfalls and Katu Village. This is a palm tree-lined course that has recently completed major re-designs and multi-million dollar upgrades. The course is in great shape. It is a very good layout and one that is beginning to rival some of the best layouts on the island as the refurbishment matures. You are required to put your thinking cap on and keep perfect control of your game on this tightly routed layout.

Loch Palm Golf Club is built around Crystal Lake, the glistening central feature of the course and the largest body of water on any Phuket golf course. A smaller lake gives golfers a refreshing breeze off the water. Loch Palm has smooth slopes and dramatic elevation changes. It will take you across and around ravines and plateaus that will test your skills at many levels of play. The front nine sits amid lakes and palm trees. The second nine moves you though mountains, hitting uphill and downhill with woods, irons and even your putter.
18-hole course par 72. Total Yardage: 6,434.

Overnight at Novotel Hotel, Phuket.

Day 3:   GOLFING AT PHUKET COUNTRY CLUB (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet in the hotel lobby and be taken for a morning round of golf at the Phuket Country Club, then transfer back to hotel.

Pick up time: 8am.
Tee-off time: 9am.

Dr Sukitti Klangvhisai designed the golf course. Location Phuket Country Club is conveniently placed, between the administrative center of Phuket City and the beach resort of Patong. One clubhouse serves the 18-hole Old Course, while a second clubhouse on the other side of the road caters for players at the nine-hole Country Club.
The 18-hole course, set in a valley, runs through forest, undulating hills and flat country. Water comes into play at seven holes, and there are 54 bunkers. It could never be called daunting and offers the prospect of a relatively low score. On the other hand, the nine-hole course (par 38) is a true test for golfers of all standards. Only one hole is free from having water in play, and there are 27 bunkers. Constant attention to the state of the courses has kept them to a high standard despite the encroachment of power lines, new homes and increasing traffic noise. Kiosks dot both courses. There are about 400 caddies, and 500 members. Golf carts are available on the nine-hole course, but not on the Old Course, which is free from hills.

Country Club Course -- Hole 10
Par threes will often have water where the fairway should be, but in this case, the hole is a par five. It's possible, especially with the right wind conditions, for any golfer to carry the 240 yards to the green. Very few make it. Most take the longer route, which is 557 yards off the back tee. Choosing to cut the watery curve finely is a test of skill and nerve, especially if it needs to be done more than once.

Hole 17
A copse of tall trees in the foreground completes the woodland beauty of this testing par three. In the distance, across water, lies the green, 143 yards from the back tee. Getting there is half the battle. The green is long and layered, and a short, safe shot can still leave a player feeling as though they need to play a driver on the green to reach the pin.

New Course -- Hole 8
Two fairways make this par five special. From the tee, players have a choice of taking the high road to a plateau fairway, or taking the low route and laying up in front of a canal. The middle of the fairway is blocked by a tall tangle of trees. Both fairways cross the canal and do not link up again until just before the green.

Hole 9
This testing par five invites players to challenge the designers in several ways. First, there's the narrow fairway for the drive. Then there's a second shot to find safe ground on a sloping fairway riddled with bunkers. Getting to the green requires a shot across water to a small target, with trees at one end to discourage long-hitters from trying to make it with their second shot and little margin for error.

Overnight at Novotel Hotel, Phuket.

The course features lagoons, coconut groves and generous, undulating fairways. A resort style golf course located within the Laguna Phuket development on the exclusive Bang Tao Bay on the west coast of Phuket, the course is carved out of the existing sand hills, the front 9 holes, a par 36, meanders through a once flourishing coconut plantation. Players must be exact on their tee shots, as water comes into play on 5 out of the 9 holes. The back 9 holes feature water on 8 out of the 9 holes. Playing to a par 35, golfers will enjoy the challenge of the back-to-back par 5 finishing holes, and the three par 3’s. The 11th hole, although only 138 yards, will leave a lasting impression.
Designed by Max Wexler. 18 holes, 72 par. Total Yardage 6,850.

Day 6:  GOLFING AT BLUE CANYON (B)

One of the premier courses in the region, Blue Canyon is set in a secluded valley, coddled by the low hill of Phuket. Host to the Johnnie Walker Classics in 1994 and 1998, and the Honda Invitational in 1996, the club offers two 18 holes championship golf courses - Canyon Course and Lake Course. The world championship Canyon course has won a number of international awards, including "Asian & Pacific Golf Course of the Year 1999" (Hertz International Golf Travel Awards) and the Top 500 Best Holes in the World" for its par 3, 17th hole. The original 18 holes, 72 par course was designed by Yoshikazo Kato in 1991. This championship course was featured in many major golf tournaments including the Johnnie Walker Classic. The Canyon Course was designed with minimal disruption to the natural landscape. This feature, along with the use of existing canyons and rubber plantations helped create the masterpiece that the Canyon Course is renowned for today.   The Canyon Course has an intriguing mix of narrow tree-lined fairways requiring accurate tee shots, a number of dog legs that demand precise shot making, and a selection of testing par 3's. These features, along with numerous water hazards, long carries and beautifully manicured fairways, all lend themselves to one of Asia's most sought after golfing destinations.
