5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS
Day 1: ARRIVE
IN CHIANG MAI (D)
Arrive in Chiang Mai airport, meet and
transfer to
hotel
for check-in. Orientation tour of the
city to let you feel at home in this
fair city, the largest in northern Thailand. It is a lively city with gentle people steeped in Buddhist traditions
and Lanna culture. The northern Thai
dialect is widely used in every day speech. We visit the two most revered temples, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang for its
Lanna-style religious architecture. Meet the monks at Wat Chedi Luang for a “Monk Chat” to find out how they
live as monks or about Buddhism. This
evening we attend a Khantoke dinner, which is
traditional northern Thai hospitality with cultural shows and hilltribe dances
for entertainment. Pick up at your
hotel lobby at 7pm. After the dinner at
about 9.30pm you have time to stroll in the interesting Night Bazaar full of
stalls selling northern Thai handicrafts and souvenirs. Coffee cafes and ice cream parlors jostle
with restaurants, money exchange booths, massage places and beer bars along the
Night Bazaar street of Changklan Road.
Overnight
at Rydges Hotel or Tamarind Village (4-star), Chiang Mai.
Day 2: CHIANG MAI (B)
Buffet
breakfast at the hotel.
A
morning round of golf at the Chiangmai-Lamphun Golf Club of 18 holes with caddy

(Lying
at the heart of northern Thailand’s most beautiful scenery, Chiangmai-Lamphun
Golf Club is a dream come true for golfers and their families. Established in
1990, it is the first private golf course of Northern Thailand. The 18-hole championship course, 6919 yards,
par 72, lies in a natural valley surrounded by beautiful rolling hills.
Thousands of mature native trees together with well-designed traditional-style
buildings give the golf course its unique, distinctly northern character. Its
contoured terrain, interspersed with creeks and water hazards, offers a
challenge to golfers of all handicaps whilst its lovely natural scenery soothes
the senses.)
Free
afternoon to relax and enjoy Chiang Mai. Tell your guide what you want to do and he will arrange it for you. Or explore the nearby Warorot market, have a

wide, undulating fairways and large greens.
The course playing from the back tees is just short
of 7,000 yards. Altogether, there are five sets of tees at this 18-hole
layout and players can be forgiven if they were distracted by the background of
mountainous scenery. There are eight OB holes, numerous water hazards and
lovely flowers adorning the surroundings. The service in the clubhouse is
very friendly and the complex has its own hotel fringing the golf course.
From November through March the cool weather is ideal for golf and family
enjoyment. Designed by Rathert International Golf Design Inc. 18

to enjoy this splendid resort.
Non-golfers might like to learn to cook some Thai dishes
in a cooking school. A morning’s
cooking lesson will start with a trip to the market to choose the fresh
ingredients of herbs, vegetables and meats for cooking. You have to eat what you cooked in order to
know how well you have excelled in cooking Thai dishes. For non-cooks you might want to experience a
traditional foot or body massage and stroll about the town before returning to
your hotel.
Overnight at The Legend or
Waterford Valley Resort, Wiang Chai.
Day 5: SANTIBURI GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB (B)
Breakfast
at the resort. Morning round of golf at
Santiburi Country Club set among lush greenery. This 18 hole, 7,000 yards, par

conceived, and conditioned golf courses in Asia. This brainchild of Khun Santi
Bhirombhakdi, the owner of Thailand's Singha Beer, is an exquisite example of
understated elegance. Santiburi offers an aesthetic feast for the golf
connoisseur. The golf course is world class, yet it is playable and enjoyable
for golfers on every skill level. Set into the contours of a valley, it offers
a superbly landscaped golf course that winds beneath a canopy of magnificent
shade trees, across crystal clear lakes and streams, reflecting turquoise skies
and pearl white clouds above, and the lush green foothills and mountains of
Chiang Rai in the distance. After
golfing, transfer to the Chiang Rai airport for departure flight.
